You are entitled to your own files- you should give the solicitor reasonable notice and be prepared to pay a scrivinery fee. Are you your mother's executrix?

Thanks.A scriv fee is just to cover administration costs in photocopying and readying the file to be taken so it depends on the size of the file- sorry I can't be more precise.
Ah, isn't legal language great? Still using scribes, when the rest of us call searching files etc 'admin'. I think I'll have to pinch this term!scrivinery
