I have just signed a new contract in work commencing 1st September. I have changed from weekly to monthly paid. As there are 4 months left in the year I thought I would be paid 1/12 of the annual salary each month. However the wages dept. are saying there are only 17 tax weeks left in the year so I get paid 17 weeks paid over the 4 months. Is this correct? Also, I will work 18 weeks until the end of year although there are only 17 tax weeks left. Any comments
