I am calculating the CGT of a transfer of a site from brother to brother.
The brother transferring the site is a young trained farmer less then 6 years but can transfer less then 2 hectares without clawback. The site is less then 2 hectares. The MV of the site is €80,000 what acquisition cost if any is put into the calculation? The site was originally bought by the father 20 years ago, is it valued at this or the value of land in time of transfer to young trained farmer three years ago?
