Certified Manufacturing Technologist Course

Hi all. I have a normal 9-5 job but would like to try do something different. I was think about doing a course in Certified Manufacturing Technologist or Technician Certificate in Mechanical Engineering. I enjoy doint project and trying to fix stuff around. My question is which would course be better to do for future jobs and are they managable for someone who has little experience in manufacturing.

I did Manufacturing technology in Tallaght IT, they do day release classes or evening classes. Got a job offer abroad out of it so I suppose it was worthwhile
 
I did the level 7 degree course. One day a week 8am-6pm, long day but managable. They also run the classes in the evening. I'm sure they have an open day coming up around this time of year
