Central heating timer

The timer on my central heating has stopped working, its one of the older analogue clocks with little switches around the face for on/off. How easy is it to replace? Are the newer timers wired the same?

They all come with wiring diagrams so they are easy enough. Although it depends on what the original sparks has done.

Do a search for previous threads on central heating/immersion timers for some more useful info. If you can do basic wiring jobs then with a bit of care you should be able to do the job yourself. If in any doubt get a professional on the job. Obviously isolate all circuits before working on them!
