cast iron bottle gas stove?

I am thinking of getting a cast iron bottle gas stove from woodies. They are about 450e but does anyone know if they give out good heat and are they heavy on gas.

I've got one and find it great - it's not too bad on gas (2 cylinders saw me through winter, usage approx 1-2 hrs daily, maybe more at weekends).

I use mine mainly in my kitchen / dining room (24 x 12 ft ) as a secondary source of heat (it's got one rad), have also used it in lounge (15 x 12 ft) where I was able to turn it off after 20 - 30 mins.

It's very solid and heavy, looks much better than the old Super Sers of days gone by!

The cast iron does warm up though, so you'll need a fireguard or similar if you've got children or pets.
