Hello! I applied for Carers Benefit last summer to start in Nov'11. I was awarded it in late January this year but was told a medical review would need to be done after 3 months which meant that the review needed to be done a week after I was awarded the benefit. So I sent in all the relevant forms for the medical and was told it could take up to 4 weeks to be processed. 13 weeks later...still no decision made! I have contacted the Carers Benefit section a few times and I'm told only that they are still waiting on a decision from the Medical Assessor and only then would they make their decision. So I was wondering if anyone else has in this situation also and how long were they waiting....Thanks!
