Carer's Allowence

Hi,
I am sure there are other people in this situation currently -
My mum is very ill - needs now round the clock care - only daughter and I want to be there. Alas my partner whom I bought a house with last year is only on a 3 day week and I am the only full time wage coming in - I know that there differant types of care allowences and I just wanted to ask if anyone know where to start or they know about eligability.

Ther are two types of SW Carer's payments; Benefit is based on PRSI record adn Allowance is means-tested; Also it is possible to get half-reate Carer's with other SW benefits. Start here and see how you get on! I think there's a dedicated carer's website somewhere? can't rememebr wht it is, others might though...
