Carers Allowance Question

Can anyone help?

Starting a new job soon, The wife claims half rate carers allowance for our child.

Because im starting work she will need to inform Welfare and take the full rate.

Could anyone tell me how easy is this?

Is it just a case of sending them my proof of earnings from my new employer? Or do we have to reapply for the whole damn thing again?

Someone told us that its a form filling exercise again and waiting for it? Last time we did that it took 6 months!

The form states that they (SW) should be informed of any change of circumstances that would affect her Carer's Allowance so I would do just that.
Write a note (keep copy) quoting her refs. stating your new situation, the date you started your new job and enclosing proof of income.
I can't see any reason for a new application since she is already in receipt of the Allowance. The adjustment should then be made,eventually!!!!!!!
