Hi All, I'm currently employed in Insurance, I am a QFA (qualified financial adviser). I'm extremely interested in a career change to a job in fund administration or similiar. Has anyone experience of working in this kind of job and can you tell me some stuff about it?

any help appreciated.

You can take the course through the Institute of Bankers or [link=http://www.lia.ie]LIA[/link]. Its a 4 part course, you take it in your own time and the exams are held about 2 yearly.

Re: Re

ISBN,

Any particular reason for wanting to get into Fund Admin ?

I'm not sure if your qualification as a QFA would complement a career in Fund Admin.

It's not a very sexy industry at the end of the day - the constant drive to cut costs can become waring after a while.

A good accountancy background is good for Fund Admin as basically all you are doing is daily accounts for funds.

Not to put you off or anything :)
