Car Tax!

Hi,
I am going travelling for a few months in the new year and my car will be off the road. My car tax is due for renewal in the start of february. Can someone tell what I need to do, so that I don't have to pay tax for the months I am away and the car is not on the road.

I think you need to get something form the gardai when you come back. best to go to your local station ahead of time.

RF134 FORM is the one you need,available from the motor taxation office or garda station. When you come to tax the car go to the garda station and get them to stamp and sign the appropriate section to say the car was off the road. iT should not be a problem
