Just bought an '07 Nissan Note. I am delighted with the car but the radio in it is puzzling. The radio does not allow FM radio access and it only goes on certain band widths. I cannot figure it out! I am thinking that it is an imported Japanese radio and it suits their bandwidth there only???? Has anyone else had this problem..... any solutions or suggestions?

Many thanks!
The model is a Pioneer Carrozzeria.

You are correct this system is fitted as OE in Japanese models. I think a swap-out is the only answer. Does the headunit have CD / MP3 player capabilty?

FYI from Pioneer site :

Brands
Pioneer - Home and Car Electronics
Pioneer Elite (USA only) - High-End Home Electronics
Carrozzeria (Japan only)
Pioneer Premier (USA only) - High-End Car Electronics
TAD - High-End Speakers

In Japan they use 76–90 MHz, see the section on Japan: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FM_broadcast_band. I would do some more research and see if the model can easily be switched (via an engineering mode/pressing a combination of buttons during power on etc.) to the standard 87-108 band. Otherwise just get a new radio, especially if a standard one will fit the car, don't bother with RF converters if you can.
