I moved into a newly built apartment block 2 months ago. My car was parked in the underground carpark, and the paintwork got damaged. What seems to have happened is water has leaked down from the roof above, and it has mixed with something like cement before landing on my car. This has done considerable damage to the paintwork, leaving a number of large grey splashes on several panels of the car.
When I first saw the damage I thought it would easily wash off - this was not the case. I gave the car to a guy I know to have a full exterior valet done on the car, but he was unable to remove it. He spent considerable time trying to remove it but said it is not possible to remove it without damaging the paintwork underneath. I also noticed that another car parked nearby has got exactly the same damage as mine.
I've taken photos of my car and the other that was also damaged. I'm getting a quote on a respray and will send it on. I assume they will pay for it without too much hassle, but you never know how they may try to squirm out of it...
I am about to write to the management committee, but before I do I want to ask the advice from you guys.
Thanks
