hi there,
my work place transfered me to work 20miles away from where i was working, i had to buy a car and the wages deference what i'm getting now doesnt cover my traveling expenses. Basically i am spending more time on roads and petrol. is there any tax relief available for traveling to work? before i was trasfered my job was 5min walk from my house. i bought my house, so moving out is not an opption. please help, thank you !!!

I'm not being smart but why would you think there would be tax relief for travelling to work. You had it handy that your job was only 5 mins walk from the house. Why would you even consider move for the sake of 20 miles? Its nothing.

No, unfortunately there's no relief for getting to / from your normal place of work...

No, there is no relief, but it would be a common enough policy in a lot of companies to pay some extra allowance to staff for a period of time when they are required to change offices.
