If a car goes on fire and fire extinguishers are used on it, is the cost of refilling theses extinguishers covered by comprehensive insurance? Has anyone had any experience of this.

Thanks.

I don't think so. The fire section of your policy will only cover the damage to the car and any damage to other property as a result of the fire.

Thanks. I'm afraid you may well be right but I'm going to ask anyhow. After all I saved most of the car from being destroyed so they will be able to sell it to a car dismantler, and probably saved the cars that were parked beside it also. Fire engine charges are covered under the insurance.
