Car Fines...

I was wondering, if you had you car impounded for non payment of fines...
Would you still be liable for the payments if your motor was crushed?

Just wondering what were the circumstances of the car being impounded? The most usual reason is that is being used without a valid tax disc. A short answer is that the user is still liable for any fines even though the car has been impounded and disposed of.
