Hi all,
Am happily (more or less) getting through my tax return, form 12, and have a question regarding rental income (in section 13).
I've calculated my Capital Allowances as €450, but wondered do i put this under
"Capital/Balancing Allowances for the year 2009" or "Capital Allowances used against rental income in the year 2009".
This second option seems to be a new one, wasn't there on form 12 last year.

Or even, seeing as i made a net rental loss of about €750, can i carry my Capital Allowances forward to next year?

Any help on this much appreciated,
thanks.

The above sounds right use second one- You can carry forward unused capital allowances to next year

Is there a certain percentage that you can hold back on the capital allowances if you make a net loss in this year?
