We had hoped to tile our entrance hall, matching the finished heights of living room and downstairs toilet (both of which adjoin).
Unfortunately when we looked at the finished concrete subfloor of the hallway, we found that the builder brought it up to a height just 4-5mm less than the bottom of the front door. Not enough clearance to tile if we have to use that levelling compound
Don't want to use vinyl. Don't want to kango the subfloor just to lower it. We have a good (thick) wood laminate floor in the adjoining rooms but alas when laid on the subfloor this won't clear the door either.
Any way still to tile it?
