I have a pressurised/closed system and noticed yesterday that the pressure is very low <1 and that I should let some water into the system. So I opened the water inlet valve, but no water... I've done it before, so I definitely have the right valve, and there was always water coming in, so I'm at a loss. The water inlet is coming off the mains, so I really don't understand as the mains are not off. Has anyone got any wisdom what it could be before I have to fork out for a gas installer?
Around X-mas I had an installer out who told me I need to get the expansion vessel changes sometime this year, could that have anything to do with it (although I can't see how that would prevent water from going into the system)...

The heating is working fine, but I'm worried about it running dry - that happened once and then I had to get a new pump....
