Can you pay RTSO through ROS

Has anyone paid RTSO through ROS. I keep reading about e-Day and how Revenue don't want to deal with cheques, so I'd much rather pay by EFT or direct debit.

The RTSO form doesn't give any options for payments - other than they must be sent to the CG (so cheques only I suppose).
 
I have written to the CG about this but I didn't get any response. Its crazy that they are supposed to be encouraging electronic payment but the only way to make this payment is by cheque.
 
I emailed them, they told me I could add it to the RDI on ROS, but it's not listed as one of the taxes. They also listed account numbers I could use for a funds transfer, again RTSO wasn't on the list.

I've asked other people at work - just a blank expression, so I'm beginning to wonder are most people even paying this tax. Most people I know don't have a cheque book so I guess they're just not paying it.
 
Another email to revenue explaining that it wasn't listed as an option for RDI, this was the reply
"...it would appear it requires a form to be downloaded from our website and payment submitted with the form. If you go to www.revenue.ie and input RTSO in the search field it will return all relevant information on this."

So it looks like the only way to make a payment is a cheque and an old fashioned paper form through snail mail.
