I am a married, stay at home mum but now the children are at school in the mornings I have taken up a couple of part time "jobs" that I enjopy and they keep me busy. I also earn a bit of cash doing them.

I will teach lessons at a private music school and I have had to sign a contract saying I wasn't an employee. I will get around €150-€200 a month for this.
I will also taken up doing so gardening jobs for old people that can't manage the garden thereselves. I estimate i will get around €3,000 a year for doing this.

So all in all I will be getting around €5000 a year. Is there a thresh hold where income tax is 0%? Do I fall under this threshold? Do I need to declare this €5000 and if so how do i do this? Does it affect my husbands tax credits?

I know loads of people taking cash for simular things as me and they say i don't need to do anything, BUT i would prefer to know that i am not doing anything wrong.

Any help would be appreciated. I live in Republic of Ireland BTW, so this is to do with Irish tax

Probably worth starting here:

It's great to read that some people still have a great sense of intergrity and honesty about them, if everyone was as conscientious about paying their taxes like you are, we wouldn't have to witness the awful plight of sick and elderly people languishing for hours and days on hospital trolleys in the vague hope of getting a hospital bed.

I would say "might not" rather than "would not".
