P Passport1 Registered User Messages 215 21 Apr 2009 #1 This is really silly question probably but here goes I have a JVC Video Recorder that i use with a portable television that has an indoor aerial The indoor arier is connected to the Video recorder and i am able to record programs from the TV However im getting pictures and not sound - anyone got any ideas what i could be doing wrong in terms or cableing and connections?

When it is recording - the channel on tv it is recording from is displaying picture and sound can be heard I will try pre-recorded video to see if it plays ok and will let you know Thanks

M Mumha Registered User Messages 196 22 Apr 2009 #4 This might be a useless suggestion, BUT, are you using scart leads ? Sometimes if they aren't pressed in properly you can get just that situation where you have video but no sound. that or check the prongs on the scart in case one is broken.
