Can I have my Irish mortgage in Sterling?

Is it possible to have my mortgage on a house in Ireland to be paid in Sterling? I'm working in the UK and the house does not generate a rent at the moment, so I'd like to pay the mortage in Sterling rather than converting currency every month. Does any lender offer this type of mortgage?

You could ask someone to fix the rate for you going forward for 1 year. How much do you need to send each month?
