Can I get some relief time on my loans?

I have two loans with aib. Things are very very tight with me at the moment, and if I was able to not pay the repayments on my loans for the next 2 months, it would make things a lot easier for me.

A friend of mine did this as he was going off travelling for 6 months. However does anyone know if I can do this for just 2 or 3?

I'm going to give them a call tomorrow morning when i have proper time, but just wondering if anyone can enlighten me on if the have done it themselves or knows more about it.

I would approach your own branch rather than ring the loan section, it may be more productive. I don't know anyone who has although I imagine Mabs would do so for people in under great financial pressure, hopefully this is not where you are at the moment. It can't hurt to ask.

Called them and they said they can do it. I have two loans so it might be a better idea to combine them into one and put a deferred first payment. Calling me back tomorrow
