i recorded the giants nfc win on sunday night,it used 23% of space, is there anyway to download the game onto dvd ?

Is there not an issue that Sky recordings are Macrovision protected and therefore you cannot simple press play and record? Also 3 1/2 hours of an HD broadcast must be a huge file size and would need several DVD's to cover it?

Thats a good point. My Sky+ box comes with an 80Gb hard drive, so 23% of that would be around 20 gigs. I suppose it would depend on the quality of compression you go for as well - my LG recorder has several different levels, although I haven't tried to find out what anything worse than LP (long play) is like, as that gives me 4 hours normal recording on a 4.3 GB disk.

The only way to find out is to put the output of the Sky box into the input of the DVD recorder and see what happens!

When the SkyHD box is rigged up to the DVD recorder though, it won't be recording a HD signal, but a downscaled SD signal.
