I'm sorry for brining this specific issue of a general thread here, but I am so confused. Can an associate engineer sign off on work not covered by BCAR, i.e. under 40q metres? I am finding the regulations so confusing!
Its also worth noting that although he may be able to sign off the works, he cannot act as an Assigned Certifier unless he/she is a Chartered Engineer, Registered Architect or Registered Building Surveyor.
