Can a Sole Trader also be a Director

Hi, I am new to site, hope someone can help me. If you are working as a sole trader can you also become a director of another seperate company? I would not be working in this second company I would be a director in name only and not taking a salary.
 
Yes, there is no problem operating as a sole trader and being a director of a separate Limited Company. The only restriction i know of in business terms, is that you cannot be a director of more than 25 companies at any one time.
