Camcorder from Lidl?

Lidl have a "deal" on a camcorder for €119.99 which seems very attractive.

I am a camcorder virgin and only need it for my kids birthday parties and family holidays etc

Is this a good camera or can you recommend something better for less than €200.

You'll need to plan for where you're going to store your videos. What will you do with them when you take them off your camcorder? You'll either need very large hard drives, or you'll need to start writing DVDs.
 
Zi8 is a great little camera with a handy output file type so its easy to use with the computer. And can be had for good value at the moment.
