Caller ID on BT Studio 3100 cordless phone?

I bought a BT Studio 3100 phone over the weekend. There is no caller id appearing when the phone rings. All that appears is "Call". Do I need to contact eircom to get this problem sorted or is there something obvious that I'm missing?

You normally have to get your service provider to enable caller id before a caller id phone can display incoming numbers.

How? Did you contact them to get caller id enabled or something else?

I rang eircom and got caller id activated

Anyone know where I can buy a caller id box as I have just a standard eircom phone, but have the Caller ID service activated and would like to be able to use it.

They seem to be hard to find, if you know a place for sure would be nice to know.

argos may have them if CM offer is too good to be true.

Power City 'had' them too if you're in Dublin.
