Philips MMS321 are a great set. Subwoofer is built in to the speakers so good space saver.

Great sound and look good. Power supply is big as the amp is housed in it but I leave mine neatly on the floor so no problem.
But great speakers can be limited by a standard laptop sound card so you need to consider that also. If necessary, consider an external sound card from Creative for about €50.
