Buying shares, single purchase

I am considering buying shares in an Irish company. It will be in the region of 15,000 euro and a single purchase with a view to hold on to them for a number of years. What are the best options out there for this purchase.

Perhaps you should reconsider investing the entire sum in just one company; doing so heightens the risk involved.

Alternatively, you could invest the 15,000 in a managed fund or an ETF which tracks the wider irish stock market. The ETF would have the addtional advantage of generally having lower management fees.
