hi folks. i am a vec teacher and in the late 80s i did 3 part-time years and 2 temporary wholetime years.can i buy back this service and any idea of what it costs

Probably best to contact your HR people and ask them first. You also need to consider to risk of whether the Govt will be around to pay your pension, or will they have defaulted on all debts, including pension rights by the time you retire..
