Buying an Asus

Im thinking of buying a new laptop and saw this Asus on elara online

Just wondering if its a good buy, are Asus a good brand,as I dont know much about them or would I be better off going for a dell xps1530 or maybe a Sony.
I would be using it for surfing,music,word processing,etc. A bit of everything really.

Budget would be around €1300-€1400, any feedback would be appreciated

Have you checked Dell? The boards.ie Bargain Alerts forum Dell laptop offers thread is worth checking. Not sure but can some laptops go above 2GB RAM while the Asus above is limited to 2GB? Might be an issue for future expansion and running/speeding up Vista etc.
