A colleague is considering buying a second home primarily for his wife to use during the week for work in Dublin They have a primary residence outside of Dublin. Her husband has some money in a company that could be used to part fund this second home. It would not be a BTL. Are there any tax advantages to buying the second home through the company ? could she part fund it as she has savings of her own ? Are they better off to buy it outside of the company ? Finally I have read on here about some better mortgage rates through Avant money. Would they fund such an arrangement if the deposit was 60% of the purchase ?
