Buying a Phone in USA

Hi

I am in the US next month and looking to buy a new phone the Nokia N900 I know about customs etc but would this phone work in Ireland and what about charging it as voltage different any other issues I may have?

Anyone any advice looking at the specs on this and general buying phones in US

I think if it is a tri band phone or a quad band phone it will work anywhere in the world.I think most modern phones are?but just ask to be doubly sure.You will have to get it unlocked obviously if it is locked to a US network aswell.
