I'm looking to buy a king sized mattress. My budget is approximately €800. It seems to be a nebulous world to say the least. The manufacturers seem to make slightly different versions of the same product to prevent consumers from shopping around. I went into a Harvey Norman the other day and the sales guy was aggressively pushing one particular mattress which turned me off straight away (presumably there's extra commission on that one).
Has anyone been down this road recently? I "tried out" a King Koil one in Harvey Norman and it seemed nice. I liked the fact that it's branded as "made in Ireland". However, when I google "King Koil" it seems to be a worldwide company with a company called "Kaymer" supplying Ireland. They have a website but there's no reference to the mattresses I saw in Harvey Norman. I like to research things online before purchasing but it seems to be difficult when it comes to mattresses.
