Hello, A friend of mine has just agreed a sale on his house with the intention of buying his late parents house, He wants to move back to the city , His siblings were happy about this as it would have been a quick sale or so everyone thought, My friend has been informed that there is a 50 odd year lease on the house and it needs to be bought out from the council, His solicitor that is dealing with the sale of his own house and the purchase of his late parents house informed him of this too late in the day, Is it a long process or is it a simple enough process, Any help is appreciated, Regards Salaried.
