Both me and my Wife are relocating to England. We are looking at the best option to getting a Mortgage on UK property, whilst still working in Ireland. We are joint home owners in Ireland, and will be selling our home to move.
Why not sell here before you move? Then rent short term in the UK while you look for a house to buy. Hopefully you have jobs sorted over there - so once you are there getting a mortgage should be easier. We did this in reverse - moving here from the UK 2 years ago.
Just a thought.. it might not fit in with your plans though.
