Buy bathrooms and tiles up north?

Hi there,
just wondering if anyone has any opinions on if it's cheaper to get tiles and bathrooms in the North and if so any suggestions where I could go to get them? Thanks,

You could try the Spendlove C Jebb group. No idea if cheaper (as I don't know what you are comparing to) but they have bathroom stores all over the North and seem to offer decent value.
 
bathrooms - MFI Newry(they also do kitchens)
Tiles - Irwin's of castleblaney (they also do wooden floors)
Doors - LF Catchart in Enniskillen

All the above have had lots of recommendations on here, once we get building i'll be heading up to take advantage of the sterling rates!
 
Bought my bathroom in MFI Newry. Great prices and they're much more willing to deal and throw in extras than I've found southern shops to be. Wait for delivery is a month, though.
 
Do any of these stores offer a wider choice. I find that the choice in Cork is limited.

I read somewhere MFI had problems in delivery. Did you have any problems ? Was everything delivered as ordered ?
 
I can highly recommend Armatile in Newry. They have a fantastic selection of tiles. I had to get 3 chrome stripes for the edges of the tiles and I got 3 in armatile for 52e. I bought one in a Drogheda tile shop for 38e. www.armatile.com
 
Just came across this website, their prices seem to be far cheaper than MFI, based in Dublin

I bought a bedroom suite and a bathroom suite. Both were delivered to the showroom on the exact day I was told they would be - 30/9 (3 1/2 weeks) for the bedroom and yesterday (5 weeks) for the bathroom.

I believe MFI are having financial woes though.
 
Yeh lookin at the option myself, just started some tilin. Live in bettystown so close enough to border
