Builders: West of Ireland New Build

First time posting hope I'm in the correct forum!
About to apply for planning for a two-storey new build but I'm having problems getting quotes from Builders. Do Builders not like giving quotes? Anybody know a good reliable and reasonable builder in the Galway/Mayo area? :confused:

Harriet, what sort of build are you doing - high efficiency, conventional, etc? Some builders are better at some, than others. Depending on your requirement, I may know someone who can help.

I would like my house to be energy efficient - solar panels, heat recovery system etc. I am checking out timber frame construction (Kingspan?) but havnt decided yet whether to go down that route or go for a more conventional block build with good insulation. My decision will be based on cost at the end of the day. Any thoughts?
