I had polished marble tiles fitted in my main bathroom (walls and floor) about a month ago. I have just noticed tiny brown spots on some of the wall tiles, which I don't think were there before fitting or, if they were, they have become more obvious on a few of the tiles. The tiles were sealed once with HG impregantor before grouting.
I've read on some websites that marble tiles can contain iron, which can rust within the tile if exposed to excessive water. Is this likely to be my problem? To me, the spots look more like specks of rust (some have a slight orange tinge) than mould or mildew. Will resealing the tiles (and grout also) prevent further staining?
