    Test 1

    I hit + Quote

    It changes to

    - quote and I get a message that 'message added to multi quote'

    No idea what that means.

but I see at the bottom of this box I'm typing in a box 'Insert quotes'

I hit that, and up pops a post from a completely different thread (Tesco credit card)
No idea how that happened but I seemingly also put in my own post too, and can't figure out why the post about Tesco popped up.

Re the Tesco post, I'm guessing the other day, not today, I hit it, that post in the + quote in error and the system remembered it and put it in here today.

    Test 2

Hit reply button, and up pops the post I was replying to. I like that because then the poster on a thread knows I'm replying directly to them.

    Test 3

I hit reply, but change my mind, as I made a mistake and I don't want this post at all. But I've no cancel button?

I know now this will stay here, and not be seen by others. But if I leave the thread and come back, it will be there all the same.

Later I'll hit 'post reply' and up it pops. (just noticed a cloud - 'draft saved')

    Test 4

I'd like to delete this as I didn't mean to post it, but no delete button.

    Test 5

I couldn't manage this, it would be handy. What do you mean by 'highlight' ?

    Test 6

I've gone back into this post. I was trying to highlight. Like you said. And somehow now I've managed to put in two other posts. And I didn't hit multi quote or anything.

    Hi Bronte

Highlighting is a common feature of Windows. If you want to delete some text for example, you highlight it and then press delete.

This discussion suggests we need a "handy tricks and tips for Frequent Posters"

+Quote is not intuitive, but it's so handy. It allows you to selectively quote from multiple posts, and indeed, multiple threads.

That is the problem. It is sometimes useful.

But in most cases people should quote only the relevant section of the post.

    Test 7

    Highlighting and deleting.

So I type a full sentence. I'll do it twice.

    So I type a . I'll do it twice.

Then I put the cursor over 'full sentence' and hit the delete button, and that worked.

I hit reply, your full post comes up, I'll highlight some of it, but what do I do next?

When you highlight it, a button should come up

    upload_2017-1-19_8-46-51.png

Just hit reply. Or if you want to multiquote it , hit +Quote

Sometimes, this button does not come up. If not, try again.
