Hi,
I need broadband where I live in Cork.
It looks as if Eircom may never make upgrade our local exchange. They promised to do it in 2007, 2008 and this year. Nothing was done so they are now talking about doing it in 2010. I won't be holding my breath
The two possible options are a wireless option which will require a line of sight to one of their base stations but they haven't come back to me yet with their findings.
The other option is satellite broadband provided by Digiweb which has a high monthly charge. A British company can supply me with the same equipment at a lower cost and a lower monthly cost but you need to get a local installer.
Can anybody recommend somebody. The installer needs to be able to
install a 2 way VSAT system that operates on Hotbird 6 or Eurobird using frequencies 1377,1376 & 1667 Mhz L band
Any advice would be appreciated
