Hi guys

Hope you can help as I'm not the may west with this technology stuff!

I got broadband through Eircom last month - I was living at home and we have a landline. I need to cancel it now as I have move to an apartment. The new apartment has a connection for a phone line on the wall but not sure if its set up with an account. Anyway i don't particularly want the land line as it will be an extra bill and i know I won't use it so my question is:

Is there anywhere that does good broadband and doesn't require you to have a phone line? I've rang a couple of places and they seem to require you to have a landline

depends where you live. try the coverage map on irishbroadband as a starting point.

never going to be as good as wired bb imho.

Hi guys just to let people know - I went with NTL (I know about their customer service reputation but anyway!...) and got broadband, 100 tv stations and phone rental for €44 per month - half price for the first two months!!. Pretty good deal I think. Only rang on Sunday and they are coming out tomorrow to set it up.

LOL will they appear!

I didn't think you can cancel an eircom account like that.

Whats the difference between paying NTL and Eircom for the same thing?
