Bridging loan on behalf of elderly parent

I meant rent in the long term, not a temporary measure. But avoid the hassle of bridging finance and fees. Still have the work of moving but letting furnished and renting furnished… collect one rent, pay another.
Find an agent to manage the rental property and make them deal with all the admin.

Can he stay in a hotel while waiting for his new house purchase to go through or a serviced apartment? This might have many advantages.

If he could find a well maintained serviced apartment it’d be ideal.

A colleague rented a place for a year, it was furnished, had a weekly cleaner which was optional. Any repairs were done immediately, eg broken fridge replaced in 24 hours, new light bulbs, done the same day. There was a concierge desk at the entrance and he could ask them for any anything that needed doing. Grounds were well kept, 24/7 security.

This is what we did as a family for two months. It was expensive but it was brilliant. All our stuff in storage and it was a bit like being in a hotel. Not sure though how you'd find something like that outside of a city. But maybe a hotel suite, and pick off peak time. They might give a two month good deal.
