Anyone know how these work? We have a holiday home and like look of real fire. I see in some shops they are 8 euro and others just 4.50 euro! Why such a big variance? Where to buy cheaper? We can buy in Dublin or Wicklow/ Wexford

i've used these once or twice. you just put the whole bag in the fire and set it alight.

but i found that it took longer than a normal fire to get nice and hot.
if you have your newspaper, kindling,(and firelighters or old wax if you need it) and coal/wood/peat briquettes it's nearly as fast to get a decent fire going.
