This offer is only open to new customers. I am an existing customer and have been told that I am not entitled to this offer. How do I get round this one? I did ask if I leave and return am I considered a new customer but I was told that my details will be on file and this is not am option.??
 
But its not cheaper to leave. Its only cheaper to return as a new customer?
 
So the 10% discount isn't available to you. Steiner suggested leaving BG completely and moving to another supplier, unless you are already on the cheapest deal available to you.

You have already answered your own question, how do you get around it? You don't.

Do you have details of this 10% discount offer? I can't see any obvious mention of it on their website...
 
I think all the suppliers have cottoned on to this and lock you into a contract.
