I am in the process of being offered part time work from home by a U.S. textile company. Work involves being rep.[not sales] and book keeper. Where can I do a check on this company to find out its background. I intend to e mail them directly when I have actually got job. Work involves receiving payments from orders in Ireland /U.K and transferring payments to company.

It sounds disturbingly similar to a money laundering scam. Google their name and see what comes up.

Couldnt agree more. try and get samples etc and get a company search on them from what ever is the US equivalent of the cro. shouldnt be hard. if they send you a contract etc their company name etc should be on it. I would be very suspicious of this situation though. Why put the money in your account and then on to theirs!? how will they sell here if you are working from home ....maybe on the internet but then why not use paypal etc!!!
