Body Scanners CDG Paris

Hello, does anyone know if the Body Scanners are in use for flights from CDG Paris to Ireland? anyone been through there recently? or if so do you have the option to be searched instead? I know they are in use for Paris - USA flights. I ask on behalf of someone who is pregnant and doesn't want to go through one of these due to the x-ray technology used.

I'm not sure about Paris however in past experiences you are always able to refuse and have a body search instead, this is what I have always done (had the search instead of the scan) and I have never had any problems.

Just to report back on this, the body scanners are not in use at the moment for flights from Paris CDG to Ireland.

They are in use at Newark and I have seen some passengers refuse to enter them. Those passengers were shown to a "secondary sceening area" by the TSA.
Of those that did use them male passengers were monitored by a male officer and female passengers by a female one.
