I have a shares portfolio with Bloxham's.
Recently I received details from them about moving from a "sponsored member account" to a "Bloxham nominee account".
Apparently this basically means that I move from an "execution-only" type of account to a "management-fee" account with advice and recommendations on possible future dealings and investments being provided. I got a talk from a Bloxham's broker about the apparent benefits of changing over but I felt the annual fee was a bit excessive, given that any potential advice I received could be just as likely to be wide of the mark as my own investment decisions.
Has anyone an opinion or advice as to the merits or otherwise, of a Bloxham's nominee account?
Thanks.
Tippman.
